Women set to hit the stage for poetry and music event
Women and gender issues will take centre stage come Friday, November 6th as Intel ambassador and poet, Titilope Sonuga, Chocolate City artist, Ruby Gyang and others hit the stage for a one-of-a-kind spoken word poetry and music performance.
The show tagged 'Becoming' is part of an Intel initiative, ‘She Will Connect’ aimed at bridging the online gender gap, and will take place at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The coming of age story is an exclusive celebration of womanhood featuring an all-female ensemble also including Omolara, Falana and Deborah Ohiri.
It would be recalled that Sonuga performed at the swearing-in ceremony of President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on May 29.
The group are expected to give a spectacular performance as they tell the unique story of women in an effort to liberate them from age-old stereotypes and cultural prejudice.
