The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, is surely reliving his youthful days at the ripe age of 76.
The revered Alaafin who has been in the news in recent times, beginning from when he took four of his wives, Oloris, on a shopping spree and vacation in London to hiring a private jet to ferry them to Bauchi State to pay a courtesy call on Governor Isa Yuguda, the most respected of all Yoruba kings celebrated his 76th birthday few days ago, 15th October, to be precise, and showed all and sundry that he still has what it takes to rock the dancehall.
Oba Lamidi, according to those who attended the event that was celebrated with lots of pomp, said he danced for almost an hour, even beating some younger guys who thought they could outlast the Oba.
