Chelsea manager Liam Rossinier expressed his strong dissatisfaction with his players' attitude following their 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League.
"Ask the players. Whether you play for an elite football club or any other, it's unacceptable to be accused of throwing in the towel. That's all I'm going to say," a frustrated Rossinier stated.
"I'm hurting. I'm numb because something like this doesn't reflect my principles or those of the club. This has to change," the London Blues' coach continued.
"I don't want to go into details now (regarding Chelsea having some of the worst statistics in the Premier League for distance covered - editor's note). I have my thoughts and feelings. I've spoken extensively about what needs to happen at this club, regardless of who the coach is, for it to be where it belongs," Rossinier declared.
"It's not about me, it's about this football club. Chelsea embodies fight, will, and determination. And tonight, that was absolutely missing across the board," the specialist added.
