After a decade-long hiatus, Rousey worked tirelessly to face Carano in her comeback to the octagon, an event made possible by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions. However, the bout concluded almost before it began, with Rousey taking Carano to the ground during their very first exchange.

Rousey wasted no time, transitioning from a few strikes directly into the armbar, and Carano tapped out moments later. Following the fight, Rousey paid tribute to her opponent but admitted she had no desire for the fight to last longer, adding another sub-minute victory to her Hall of Fame-worthy career.

"Gina is the person who introduced me to MMA, and she's the only one who could bring me back to MMA," Rousey stated after her victory. "She's my hero. You changed my world, and we changed the world. I'll never be able to repay you enough. I'm glad we finally shared this moment." She added, "I was hoping to come out as unscathed as possible because I really didn't want to hurt her. That's the beauty of martial arts."

Carano returned to MMA after a 17-year absence. While she didn't appear particularly surprised by the outcome, she expressed regret at not being able to land at least a few strikes before the finish.

"I wanted it to go longer," Carano said. "I felt so ready. I wanted to hit her. I'll probably feel it later. Just getting into the cage was a win. Fighting a legend was a win. I feel great. I just wanted a real fight, and I didn't get it. This is a win in my life."

Carano made headlines by revealing she had shed 45 kilograms to prepare for the fight with Rousey, following a very difficult period in her life after her dismissal from the Star Wars series "The Mandalorian" and a lawsuit against Disney, which was ultimately settled out of court.

As for the former UFC bantamweight champion, Rousey made it clear that she is done with fighting and her return was solely motivated by the desire to face Carano. Now, with this victory added to her record, Rousey is once again stepping away from combat sports.

"There was no better way to end it than this," Rousey said. "I want to have more babies and dedicate myself to cooking."
