AS Roma and FC Porto have resumed talks regarding the transfer of Rodrigo Mora. According to A BOLA, both parties met again today to discuss a viable agreement, always within the financial demands of the Dragons. Porto will only release the number 86 for a total deal worth €50 million.
The clubs had paused negotiations last week after discussing a season-long loan for €10 million, accompanied by a €40 million purchase option. However, the deal fell through due to the individual and collective objectives tied to the buy-out clause: FC Porto sought accessible conditions for its activation, which the Italian side did not agree to.
Now, according to market expert Fabrizio Romano, Roma has increased their offer and is confident they can finalize the signing of the Portuguese attacking midfielder. Negotiations are reportedly in an advanced stage following direct contact made this Sunday.
Roma's renewed interest comes on a day when AC Milan was also linked with Mora. Italian media reported that during discussions about a potential deal for striker Santiago Giménez, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with the blue and whites, the Rossoneri management inquired about the creative midfielder.
Roma's persistence is also driven by coach Gian Piero Gasperini's strong desire to sign Mora. Gasperini particularly values Rodrigo Mora's characteristics and has been pressuring the Giallorossi's sporting director to secure the Portuguese attacking midfielder.
