Spain's midfielder Rodri commented on their 2-0 victory over France in the 2026 World Cup semi-finals. The Iberians secured the win with goals from Mikel Oyarzabal via a penalty and Pedro Porro.
"The match was incredibly tough. We needed everyone's effort because we faced a very physically strong team. We had to neutralize our opponent and impose our style of play. The team performed magnificently, especially in moments without the ball. Those who came off the bench also made an impressive contribution," Rodri stated.
"I am very happy and proud of my team and my country. We've taken another step forward. Now we need to rest and recover well, because the most important match of our lives awaits us," the Spanish midfielder added, as quoted by "AS."
In the final, Spain will face the winner of the other semi-final, which pits Argentina against England.
