Manchester City midfielder Rodri has addressed the possibility of a return to La Liga, specifically a potential move to Real Madrid in the future, despite his past with city rivals Atlético.
"The fact that I played for Atlético wouldn't stop me from considering a move to Real. You can't turn down the best clubs in the world. The atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabéu is always special. I'd like to return to La Liga – I still follow the league closely. I also enjoy the Premier League; it's very demanding, but I'm currently happy with my performance here. I have another year left on my contract with Manchester City. The time will come when we'll sit down and talk," Rodri stated.
The 29-year-old midfielder has featured in 28 matches across all competitions this season, scoring two goals.
Rodri joined Manchester City in 2019, arriving from Atlético Madrid. His current contract with the Citizens runs until June 30, 2027.
