Rivers United progressed to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 0-0 draw away at of Rwanda in Kigali.
Rivers, the only Nigerian club side in a continental competition this season have been placed in Group A alongside FUS Rabat of Morocco, Club Africain of Tunisia, and KCCA of Uganda.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals with the final set to be played over two legs in November.
