Neenwi, a chieftain of the party from Yeghe community in Bori Local Government Area of the state, according to close aides, was murdered alongside three other people in his hometown.

According to one of his friends who posted the sad news on Facebook, Oby Ndukwe, the death of Nwinee brings to two the number of politicians that have been murdered in the community in the recent past.

Blaming the ruling APC government at the Federal Level, Ndukwe lamented that the government has failed to protect its members in the state as they are being killed without any arrest being made.

This is what Ndukwe posted:

"The same community where late Vincent Eebee hailed from. Yeghe community is the home base of wanted kingpin, Solomon Ndigbara. It was at this same community that the Army was ambushed when they lay siege to the militant camp of Solomon Ndigbara, some time ago.

Yet, those in the corridors of power in Rivers State claim that the state is safe! My take: Since it is glaring that the Federal Government under President Buhari and the APC is not interested in putting an end to these mindless killings of APC members, then they should seek self-help!

It's only a tree that sees an axe coming and remains standing to be cut down. I don't care what is in the security pipeline for Rivers State, the truth is that those who are labeled betrayers of Jonathan have been sacrificed on the altar of political expediency.

The security agencies have all compromised. There is yet no end to the deliberate plot to obliterate, extinct, annihilate and quench the lives of those who are supporters of Rotimi Amaechi. This is no longer a matter for God! Wisdom must prevail."
