176 of the Chibok girls were my church members

Reverend Samuel Dali, the president of Ekklisiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria, EYN (Church of the Brethren in Nigeria), has revealed how Boko Haram killed about 8,000 of his members.

Further lamenting  that some of the church facilities in Adamawa, Yobe, and Borno states have been destroyed in various terror attacks by Boko Haram,  he expressed his hopes that terrorism in the north east will end soon.

In a press brief at his Jos office, he stated that not only has 70% of his church members been killed, his Pastors have also lost their jobs because worship centres has been burnt and members killed.

He also mentioned that 176 of the kidnapped Chibok girls were his church members.

Nigeria will overcome the Boko Haram challenge soon. 70% of our churches have been destroyed in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states by Boko Haram; over 8,000 of our members were killed. 176 of the girls kidnapped in Chibok are our members,” he stated
