In a major record-setting move, the Gulf state has announced plans to build a whooping billion dollar tower which promises to trump the Burf Khalifa as the tallest building in the world.

The building whose landscaping is inspired by the mythical Hanging Gardens of Babylon will have rotating balconies.

Known as The Towerat Dubai Creek, construction will start at the end of this and is hoped to be finished before Dubai hosts the World Expo in 2020.

Burj Khalifa opened in January 2010 and stands at 828 meters high.
