The incident occurred just 10 minutes into the game when the midfielder, who had joined the club this season, collapsed on the pitch. Despite it being a friendly fixture, the medical teams from both clubs promptly attended to the player. A defibrillator, which Estrela da Amadora's medical staff always carries, was used, but unfortunately, all attempts at resuscitation proved unsuccessful.

Emergency services (INEM) were immediately called and arrived swiftly at the scene. After providing initial assistance, they transported Quévin Castro to the hospital. However, it was not possible to reverse the situation, and his death was ultimately pronounced.

To Quévin Castro's grieving family and friends, as well as to Real Massamá, A BOLA extends its deepest condolences.
