Real Madrid Sells Youth League Final Hero to France

Spanish football club Real Madrid has agreed to transfer 20-year-old forward Jacob Ortega to French side Racing Strasbourg. "Los Blancos" did not disclose the financial details of the transfer on Monday.

Ortega made his mark in the UEFA Youth League final last season, scoring against Club Brugge. Real Madrid ultimately triumphed in a penalty shootout in Lausanne, Switzerland, after a 1-1 draw, securing their second title in the 12-year history of the Under-19 competition.

Strasbourg announced that the young forward has signed a contract until 2031. The French club also recently acquired American midfielder Gio Reyna from Borussia Mönchengladbach earlier this month.

Strasbourg, part of the same ownership group as London's Chelsea, finished eighth in Ligue 1 last season and did not qualify for European competitions, as reported by AP.
