Real Madrid Not Planning Rodri Move This Summer

Real Madrid's stance on a potential move for Rodri remains unchanged, with the Spanish giants still having no intention of signing the Manchester City midfielder, Spanish newspaper "AS" reported on Friday. The Spain international had previously stated in an interview that he wouldn't rule out such a transfer: "Having played for Atlético doesn't stop me from joining Real Madrid. You can't turn down the best clubs in the world – others have taken that path too."

Real Madrid does not currently view Rodri as an option to bolster their midfield, as the club has other targets for that position this summer. The 29-year-old Spaniard's contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2026-2027.
