Ražnatović Fires Back at Berić: Moneke Played with a Season-Ending Injury!

Mića Berić attributed one of the reasons for Crvena Zvezda's poor season to the performance of the team's primary power forward.

The former Partizan player criticized Moneke in a statement, claiming he disappeared when he was most needed.

"If he's talking like that, I'd have a counter-question. Didn't you say you'd be at the Final Four? After some euphoria, you said, 'We're definitely going!' You also told a TV host, 'I'll definitely be there, I don't know about you!' That was heard several times, and it came directly from him. How is it that suddenly you have no identity, but you were at the Final Four, because at that moment Zvezda looked like they were going? That means, my friend, 'it's all about me, me, me,'" Berić sharply remarked.

Now, Miško Ražnatović has responded, stating that Berić lacks sufficient professional commitments, which is why he constantly appears on podcasts. Ražnatović also revealed that Chima played with a hand injury that should have ended his season.

"Traditionally, some former great players, who, due to a lack of more serious commitments, constantly appear on podcasts, speak very negatively about the current players of the eternal rivals. We are used to this, and there's no need to react. However, the latest venomous comments about Moneke's performances are definitely unfair, and that's why I'm reacting! Chima Moneke suffered a serious right-hand injury, and it was diagnosed as a season-ending injury. At his own risk, he continued to play for the team, even though his performances were significantly affected by the injury to his shooting hand. Such a decision deserves respect for the sixth-highest-ranked player in the EuroLeague, not criticism." - Miško Ražnatović
