Barcelona forward Raphinha is set to leave the Brazil national team camp and return to his club, according to journalist Cahê Mota. The decision comes after the 29-year-old sustained a minor muscle injury during yesterday's 4-2 friendly win over Australia.
Although the issue is not serious, the national team staff decided against taking any risks. Raphinha converted a penalty in the 45th minute against Australia before being replaced at half-time. In 43 appearances for his country, the forward has recorded 12 goals and nine assists. He has been in sensational form for Barcelona this season, registering 14 goals and three assists in eight matches.
Brazil are scheduled to play their next match against India on October 3 in Kolkata.
