Luka Doncic was, expectedly, the star of the show, torching Toronto for 45 points (8-of-12 from downtown) along with 15 rebounds and six assists in just 35 minutes. In doing so, he became the first player in NBA history to record at least 45 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and five three-pointers in a single game.

Following the contest, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic praised Doncic's historic performance. When asked during the post-game press conference to compare the styles of Doncic and Nikola Jokic, Rajakovic pointed out that both possess extraordinary basketball IQ.

"Yes, I think they play different positions, but in a way, they play the same—they're both playmakers. Both can create for themselves and their teammates, as well as score. I think their feel for the game and the pace they play at allows them to see everything through a different lens. You can't speed them up or knock them off their rhythm. Both are big for their positions, have incredible court vision, make all the right reads, and are elite scorers. We're talking about two players who are currently in the top five in the league." — Darko Rajakovic

Following the defeat, the Toronto Raptors sit fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with an even 3-3 record. They will face the Clippers in their next matchup, also in Los Angeles.
