The "Bulgarian Lion" already completed a successful one-day test at Imola behind the wheel of a 2025 Racing Bulls car, logging 143 trouble-free laps. With just two rounds remaining in the Formula 2 season, Tsolov remains firmly in the title hunt, sitting only seven points behind championship leader Rafael Câmara.
"Nikola's participation in Free Practice 1 is an important step in his progression within the Red Bull Junior Team," said Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane. "It reflects our commitment to nurturing young talent by providing them with valuable track time and the support they need to learn and improve."
"Having already worked with Nikola during the Imola test, we look forward to seeing him build on that experience in Mexico and seeing what feedback he delivers to help our preparations for the race weekend."
