Quillan Salkilld Set to Clash with Benoît Saint-Denis in UFC Sydney Main Event
Australian standout Quillan Salkilld is set to headline his first home-soil UFC event this February. The promotion has officially announced that Salkilld will square off against fellow top-10 lightweight contender Benoît Saint-Denis in the main event in Sydney, Australia.
The high-stakes clash is scheduled for February 6 at the Afterpay Arena. At present, it stands as the only officially confirmed bout on the fight card.
Since securing his contract via Dana White's Contender Series in 2024, Salkilld (13-1) has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the 155-pound division, currently occupying the No. 7 spot in the rankings. The Australian remains undefeated through six Octagon appearances, with five stoppage victories earning him "Performance of the Night" honors.
In his most recent outing this past August, Salkilld picked up an impressive submission win over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 120.
Saint-Denis (17-4, 1 NC) has been competing in the UFC since 2021, compiling a 9-4 promotional record. Although the Frenchman has flirted with title contention, he has stumbled in key matchups, most recently suffering a submission defeat against Paddy Pimblett in July.
