In his exclusive interview with Pulse TV Sarz spoke about the criticism of Wizkid's music.
Critics of Wizkid's music point out that the Star Boy act is not lyrically deep and lacks strong music concept.
"I think the critics in Nigeria only criticize with one ear. A Hip-Hop critic can't criticize an R&B song, and most of these critics are Hip-Hop lovers" said Sarz.
"You can't criticize Afrobeat based on lyrics because the Afrobeat I know is really mainly about the beat. Like the Fela's, the King Sunny Ade's. Their songs play for three minutes before the song even starts. So its not about deep lyrics, its not about witty content. I think it is more about rhythm, and beat" he further said.
In a previous post Sarz spoke about his chemistry with the pop superstar. "I think Sarz is the Wizkid in music production. It's just a perfect combo. I make a beat, send it to Wiz, he sends me a song and we know we are going to score a hit. It's that simple" said Sarz.
