Readers say having sex just once can result in pregnancy

A reader, Olayinka who is set to be married in a few weeks, sent in this letter.

"My name is Olayinka and I am supposed to get married to my fiance of three years, Tayo, in December. But I am having a rethink following a shocking revelation.

With everything set for our wedding, a woman came to confront him that she had a one-year-old baby for him. This happened in my presence and I expected Tayo to deny the allegation but he calmly told me he only slept with the woman once and he is not sure the baby could be his.

I was taken aback because I never expected Tayo to because I made sure I was always available for him and satisfied him sexually.

So I was very hurt by what he did and the fact that he never told me that he had a child somewhere because the woman claimed she had told him when she took in and he waved it aside.

I am very confused at the moment and I may just have to call off the wedding."
