According to our latest poll that went up yesterday (September 7), married female celebrities should still keep their last names, and merge it with their husbands. Majority of readers don't believe that a woman should drop her maiden name and solely bear her husband's family name.

It was a slim majority though with 45% of our readers who took the poll saying female celebs should keep their last names. 39.1% are of the opinion that female celebrities should leave their maiden names, and adopt their husbands'. 15.2 % are indifferent.

BEAT FM on-air-personality Tolu 'Toolz' Oniru who had her introduction ceremony on September 5, said on radio  that she will be keeping her maiden name.

Toolz who spoke on The Morning Rush with Olisa and Osi Suave yesterday ((September 7) said her maiden name after marriage will be hyphenated with her husband's name. When she gets married Toolz will be known as Tolu Oniru-Demuren instead of the Tolu Demuren.

Popular female celebrities who have kept their last names are Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, and Mercy Aigbe-Gentry.
