Here are all the locations where 4G Internet coverage is available in Nigeria

If you don't know what 4G is, it is the next level of Internet access after 3G. That means Internet access on 4G setups are decidedly faster than 3G, Edge, or GPRS.

As at the time of writing this article, only Visafone (powered by MTN), Ntel, and Smile offer mobile 4G internet service in Nigeria. Spectranet and Swift are left out because you cannot use their services without getting a modem or router, which effectively is not mobile 4G.

However, 4G is not yet available in all of Nigeria. If you have been wondering where 4G is available in Nigeria, see the list below:

Ntel - Lagos, Abuja. Side not though, 4G network availablility is still patchy on Ntel network in some parts of Lagos so be careful to test for it before you sign up.

Visafone - Lagos, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Abuja, Abeokuta, Sagamu, and Kaduna.

Smile - Lagos, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Abuja, Benin City, Kaduna, Onitsha, and Asaba. Side Note: Smile currently has the largest 4G footprint in Nigeria.

4G internet coverage should improve over the next six months to a year but for now, you know where to go if you need some 4G power.
