Pulse Exclusive: Uti Nwachukwu – “The Government Should Privatize The Education Sector”

“There’s nothing we can do. There’s only so much as we entertainers can do.” A worried Uti stated.

“I don’t know why the government is doing this to them, poor kids. If the government cannot handle the education sector, they should just privatize everything.

“Apparently the government is losing their grip on everything; they should just privatize the whole country.

“They’re keeping people’s kids at home for months. So are you saying that it’s only the rich that can afford private schooling that will have proper education? That is so wrong. This is why my father took me to private schools all through. The only time I tasted public schooling was when I went to UNN for diploma between 2000 and 2003. I then went for bachelors in BIU, and I didn’t have any problem.

“It’s time for the government to privatize everything o, because it’s become really embarrassing. Because this news is going around the world. It’s only in Nigeria you’ll hear that University students are stuck at home.

“I’m ashamed, and it’s very embarrassing right now.”

Uti also believes students should take advantage of the free time on their hands, and improve on themselves. They shouldn't allow the opportunity go to waste.

“This is actually the time that they (the students) can explore their relationship with God, and dedicate themselves to God. Everything happens for a reason.

“Train yourselves in something, acquire some extra skill, utilize your free time. I utilized my free time when I was growing up, I worked in a bank for 1 year. The students should take up something.”
