Talented singer Maka can be said to be towing the path of the likes of Nneka and Asa, exuding  that rich originality in an artiste.

She could be said to be appealing to the soul and alternative music lovers. Baring her soul and spirit in her new EP, she comes from a honest place of freedom and is about making real feel good music pleasing to her and to as many that appreciate originality in sound and the art of music.

"The Truth” EP is a rich sound backed by hip hop and soul musical backdrops provided by Hip-Hop DJ/producer Teck-Zilla.

From opening track ‘Forever’, which samples Chaka Khan’s ‘Stronger Than Pride’ to glorious effect, and her soulful Hip-Hop ode to her hometown ‘Lagos’, to the triumphant and life-affirming ‘FMH (Feeling My High)’ and the already well-received ‘Mu Na Gi’, Maka makes a good listen for when you just wanna be in a sober reflective mood and enjoy some classic music, with her soothing voice.

This EP might not make you want to go to the club and grind but it would suit the occasion of a cool evening ride or a reflective and calm day on the beach.

Maka has carved her niche in originality and freedom of expression to put out good music that would be appreciated by the alternative soul faithfuls  which makes her effort creditworthy.
