According to RMC Sport, 18-year-old Senegalese international Ibrahim Mbaye has agreed to personal terms with Liverpool, expressing his desire to move to the Premier League. With an agreement reached with the player, the English club will now accelerate negotiations with PSG to finalize the transfer of the winger, who boasts 15 caps and four goals for his country, including one at the 2026 World Cup.

Bayer Leverkusen, previously linked as a potential suitor, has reportedly withdrawn from the race for the Paris academy product, who has a market value of €30 million (Transfermarkt), leaving a clear path for the Merseyside club.

Mbaye, who is under contract with PSG until 2028, featured for Luis Enrique during pre-season, scoring a goal in a friendly against Manchester United (1-1), but remained on the bench for the European Super Cup victory against Aston Villa (2-1).

The player was not called up for the Trophée des Champions, the French Super Cup, which PSG lost 0-1 to Lens, watching the match from the stands alongside Bradley Barcola, another Liverpool target.

The Reds continue to negotiate with PSG for the French international, who also has a contract until 2028, having rejected a renewal offer.

Despite differences in player valuation, Liverpool's management remains keen on signing the former Lyon talent, who turns 24 on September 2nd, with a formal offer expected this week. A potential departure of Cody Gakpo to Tottenham could create financial and squad space for Barcola's arrival, but for that to happen, PSG and Liverpool will need to reach an understanding on the value of both young players.
