PSG dealt key injury blow ahead of Barcelona clash

Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes sustained a left thigh injury during yesterday's 3-1 victory over Strasbourg, the club has confirmed. The Portuguese international was forced off in the closing stages of the match, leaving his side a man down as they had already used all their substitutions.

The Parisians also specified that Mendes will be sidelined for several weeks. As a result, he is ruled out of the upcoming Champions League clash with Barcelona, as well as fixtures against Lyon, Le Havre, Villarreal, and Troyes. The full-back is a key figure in Luis Enrique's squad, having made seven appearances for PSG this season after serving a three-match Ligue 1 suspension at the start of the campaign.
