According to the agency on its Twitter handle, the official was carrying out his legitimate duties of controlling traffic in the area when some police officers on escort duties assaulted him and beat him up.

Not done, the policeman reportedly handcuffed the traffic officer and made him lie on the floor in his uniform while he continued dehumanising him before he was rescued and the officer arrested.

In a series of tweets, the LASTMA narrated how their man was humiliated by the officer.
