Pontiff blesses girl suffering from Usher's syndrome
Pope Francis on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 blessed the girl’s eyesight.
Christine Myers, Lizzy’s mother stated that the family had created a visual bucket list to show her as many things as possible before she can no longer see.
Myers said the moment was a powerful moment for Lizzy and she believes that her daughter has been blessed.
Steve Myers, Lizzy’s father stated that he has been nervous ahead of Wednesday’s audience but as soon as he met the pope he felt calm.
“You know, I believe myself and I think that what Pope Francis has done for her, if there is any chance for a miracle, it would be there.
“He asked that we pray for him and said that he would be praying for us,” he said.
Lizzy suffers from the Usher’s syndrome which will make her deaf and blind.
