Punch reports that the deceased was arrested and detained after he allegedly shot a man dead.

“He was brought to the state CID for investigation and prosecution.

“But he hanged himself in the cell around 2am today. He was attached to the Dangote factory and shot a man dead,” a source was quoted as saying.

Bala Elkana, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), has confirmed Eze's death to Pulse.

According to him, Eze resorted to killing himself while investigation was ongoing regarding the death of the man he allegedly shot.

The PPRO however promised to give details on the incident as soon as he's fully briefed.
