The Denver center spent 34 minutes on the floor, scoring 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from inside the arc and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line without attempting a three-pointer. Jokic also pulled down 13 rebounds (11 defensive, two offensive) and dished out 10 assists.

While Jokic might not have delivered flashy highlight-reel plays destined to trend for days, the video showcases how effortlessly he controlled every facet of the game—from scoring and playmaking to rebounding. Truly poetry in motion.

This marked a milestone 200th regular-season triple-double for Jokic, moving him within just nine of all-time record holder Russell Westbrook.

How Denver defeated New Orleans

As for the game itself, the Nuggets led wire-to-wire after opening the scoring at 3-0. A dominant first quarter gave Denver a commanding 19-point lead (37-18) after 12 minutes of play. The hosts gradually chipped away at the deficit through the second and third quarters, trimming the gap to six heading into the final frame (79-73). However, New Orleans ran out of steam, and the Nuggets repelled the fourth-quarter charge to comfortably close out the win.

Jamal Murray paced Denver with a team-high 23 points, while Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon added 15 apiece, with Gordon also pulling down 11 rebounds.

On the other side, Zion Williamson led all scorers with 25 points but lacked secondary support, as Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen were the next closest Pelicans with just 11 points each.

With the victory, Denver evened their record to 2-2, while New Orleans remains winless on the season at 0-4.

The Nuggets return to action on Friday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns, while the Pelicans play a day earlier, hosting the Sacramento Kings at home.
