Don’t be too hard on yourself

Spare some smiles for yourownself

Don’t be too harsh, in judging yourself.

You are not infallable

You are not perfect

You have some jagged edges

You’re a work in progress

Under construction

You’re incomplete

You’re imperfect

You are flawed.

Know this

Understand this

And love your damn self

As you become a better version

Love your own damn self

If no one else will

Wrap your arms around yourself

When no one else will

Comfort your own self

When no one else will

Love your own damn self

As you want to be loved

Forgive your own mistakes

As you learn from them.

Love yourself

So you can love others without having to self destruct

Love who you are

So you can appreciate who you’re growing to be.

Understand that you’re flawed

As you look to God,

To complete you.
