Formula 1 tire supplier Pirelli has announced the tire compounds it will provide to teams for the next three race weekends following the summer break: Zandvoort, Monza, and Madrid.

For the Dutch and Spanish Grands Prix, Pirelli will supply the mid-range compounds – C2, C3, and C4. At Monza, the softer compounds – C3, C4, and C5 – will be available.

Pirelli supplied the same compounds at Zandvoort last year. The circuit features a mix of medium and slow-speed corners, including two banked turns that place significant vertical and lateral loads on the tires. Cars require substantial aerodynamic downforce on this track, and the asphalt provides relatively low grip.

Monza was resurfaced a few years ago, and its high-speed nature demands cars to run low-downforce aero packages. Pit stop times are crucial here, so teams typically aim for a single tire change during the race. However, if track and ambient temperatures are too high, this strategy can become challenging.

The Madrid race will be the Spanish Grand Prix, and the tire selection was made based on computer simulations. These simulations accounted for the track's 22 distinct corners, the longest banked turn on the calendar, and numerous elevation changes. Pirelli explained that they anticipate the new Madrid circuit to have characteristics similar to traditional tracks like Silverstone and Spa, with the aim of facilitating a two-stop race strategy.
