Pickford Sets New England World Cup Record

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has set a new record for the most World Cup appearances for England.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper made his 18th World Cup appearance for England in the quarter-final clash against Norway at the 2026 tournament.

Prior to this match, Pickford shared the top spot with fellow goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who had 17 World Cup caps for the Three Lions. Harry Kane, also a starter against the "Vikings," now matches Shilton's record.

This marks Pickford's third World Cup campaign. In his previous 17 appearances, he had kept six clean sheets and conceded 17 goals.
