On Sunday May 3, 2015 Nigeria witnessed the unveiling of the first electric powered vehicle by the Senator-elect Ben Bruce of Silverbird Group.

In his speech he said, he requested Kia Motors to create a car that does not use fuel or diesel just electric power and solar energy.
Mr Bruce unveiled the future car at the Silverbird Man Of The Year Awards which held at the Eko Hotel convention center and he charged Nigerians to support his new innovation of having solar powered cars available for everyone in the country.
