Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has drawn praise again for his outstanding performances this season, this time in the colours of the Nigerian national team.

The Everton star carried over his club form to the national team, scoring a long-range effort to help Nigeria grab a 2-2 draw against the home-based Algerian national team.

Iwobi is enjoying a rejuvenation in his career, having become an integral part of Frank Lampard's team at Everton since last season.

Iwobi can play anywhere - Robinson

Following his latest exploits, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson acknowledged that he likes Iwobi, especially for his 'outstanding' performances for Everton this season.

Robinson said: "I like him. I like his versatility. His performances have been outstanding. He’s shown that he can play off the left, off the right, he can play centrally."

The 42-year-old former England international also claimed that Iwobi's upturn in form can be attributed to the efforts of current Everton manager Lampard, who was himself a goal-scoring midfielder.

Robinson stated that Iwobi's current form means the former Arsenal Academy graduate and Gunners star is playing his best football so far at Goodison Park.

“I think you can see that Frank Lampard is getting the best out of him right now. He’s playing some of the best football of his career right now," Robinson concluded.

Iwobi has been involved in four (4) goals in his last six (6) appearances for club and country this season, bagging three (3) assists and one (1) goal in that time.
