Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko said Sunday there was evidence that he believes could sustain a conviction.

Mr Tobiko added the Witness Protection Agency (WPA) had been roped into the case to ensure safety of witnesses.

He said more witnesses had recorded statements with police officers and prosecutors handling the case.

The team handling the file is expected to hand it in today for Tobiko's final word on prosecuting the pastor.

The file on Ng'ang'a was taken to the DPP last Monday but after some gaps were identified, he formed a team compromising police, prosecutors and officers from the WPA.
