The Black and Whites long ago lost their chance to secure a spot in the Top 10. This was largely due to a turbulent period in the season marked by numerous internal club upheavals. However, under the guidance of Joan Peñarroya, they have steadily regrouped and are currently the EuroLeague's most in-form team, significantly influencing the standings.

Including tonight's game, Partizan has strung together six consecutive EuroLeague victories. Three of these wins came against teams vying for a playoff spot. The "Steamroller's" impressive run began in Bologna, where they defeated Virtus 88-82. This was followed by a triumph over Dubai (88-74), slowing their pace in the play-in race. Paris then fell victim on their home court (90-81).

Two dramatic encounters followed. Peñarroya's squad first narrowly overcame Asvel (79-78) in front of their home fans. Then, in a true cinematic thriller, they brought down a strong Valencia team after two overtimes (110-104).

The icing on the cake was a victory over their biggest rival, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, a match crucial for Zvezda's pursuit of a top-six finish. However, Saša Obradović's team hit a black-and-white wall, as Partizan became the first team to win both EuroLeague derbies this season, now leading the head-to-head 5-3. The previous three seasons ended with a 1-1 split.

Only Žalgiris, currently on a four-game winning streak, boasts a similar run of form to the Serbian and Adriatic champions. It will be fascinating to see who emerges victorious in their upcoming clash, scheduled for April 10th in Belgrade.

Before that, the Black and Whites face an away game against Anadolu Efes, and in the final round, Baskonia visits the Serbian capital. It's not impossible for Partizan to conclude the season with nine consecutive victories. It remains to be seen if Peñarroya's team has the stamina for such an achievement, which would undoubtedly provide significant momentum heading into the season's finale and their quest to defend domestic trophies.
