Lagos-born artist Oritsefemi gained recognition on the Nigerian music scene following the release of his single ‘Double wahala’ in 2013.

Since then the singer whose real name is Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele has developed a unique style of infusing gospel and reggae music together.

Asides from the fact that the ‘Mercies of the Lord’ crooner turns 31 tomorrow, (January 5, 2015,) here’s a list of things you should know about him.

1. He is the CEO of Money Stop Nonsense (MSN) Gang. The artist launched his record label in 2014.

2. The artist also known as Musical Taliban was once a member of a group called The Junglist. Before he left the  group in 2006 they released two albums called ‘Boys Dey Binu’ and “Money Na Time”.

3. The first fee he was paid as a solo-performing artist was five million Naira.

4. Oritsefemi has released five albums till date: “Flog Politician”, “Wicked World”, “Unfadeable”,“Musical Taliban” and “Money Stop Nonsense” which he released last year, 2015.

5. In October 2015, the singer performed in China and shot his ‘Give thanks’ video there.
