This was his 17th career game with a 20/15/15 stat line. To understand just how monumental this achievement is, one only needs to look at the statistics from the last 40 NBA seasons:
Nikola Jokić: 17 games
All other players combined: No one has more than seven
The Denver Nuggets secured a triumphant 125-123 victory over the Phoenix Suns, in a game where history was made as early as the third quarter. Nikola Jokić recorded the fifth-fastest triple-double in NBA history, sealing the win with the final basket.
The Sombor native once again demonstrated why he is considered one of the most intelligent players in basketball history, notching a new triple-double in an incredible 17 minutes and 41 seconds of play. This also marks the fifth-fastest time anyone has ever achieved double digits in the three main statistical categories in the world's top league.
Jokić finished the game with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists in 35 and a half minutes on the court. He shot 9-for-16 from the field, 1-for-5 from three-point range, and 5-for-7 from the free-throw line, with only two turnovers.
Interestingly, Jokić now holds two spots in the top five for this category. His 2018 record, when he achieved a triple-double in just 14 minutes and 33 seconds, remains untouched at the top of the all-time list. Between his two incredible feats are Jalen Johnson (2025), Jim Tucker (back in 1955), and Russell Westbrook.
