As is often the case after such a heated encounter, chaos erupted in Greece, ignited by Ergin Ataman.

The Turkish coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the officiating during the post-game press conference. He also highlighted that Olympiacos fields three naturalized foreign players—Thomas Walkup, Tyler Dorsey, and Sasha Vezenkov—who compete in the Greek championship with Greek passports.

The day after the derby, PAO formally requested the ministry to revoke Walkup's passport, citing his nearly two-year absence from the Greek national team. Olympiacos promptly responded on the same day.

Olympiacos shared images on social media featuring Sasha Vezenkov and Tyler Dorsey together, both dressed in Greek military uniforms. The photos were accompanied by a pointed message.
