The Oklahoma City Thunder have accumulated a significant number of first-round picks in recent seasons, and one of those selections was used on Serbian talent Nikola Topić. However, despite already possessing an NBA championship ring, Topić's journey has been anything but smooth.
Topić first suffered a severe knee injury, which sidelined him for an extended period. Following his recovery, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. What ensued was a battle involving chemotherapy, from which Nikola successfully returned to the court.
Sam Presti, the Thunder's general manager, once again spoke about Topić, reiterating his admiration for the Serbian point guard's character.
