Vitória de Guimarães announced the signing of Patrick Ouotro on Tuesday afternoon.
The 20-year-old striker, who spent last season with Nancy, has arrived from France and signed a contract valid until 2030.
Before turning 18, the forward made a name for himself in the Ivory Coast's top flight with LYS Sassandra, where he was considered one of the breakout stars of the 2022/23 season. The young player's strong performances attracted interest from European clubs, leading to his signing by Strasbourg (France) the following season.
Despite making his Ligue 1 debut, the attacker never managed to establish himself at the Alsatian club and subsequently had three loan spells: Martigues (France), Seraing (Belgium), and Nancy, where he scored two goals in 22 games last year.
Although he primarily plays as a central striker, the Ivory Coast international (capped four times) is noted for his versatility, as he can also operate on either wing (left and right).
The *Conquistadores* highlighted the right-footed player's "fearless attitude, strength, and speed."
