The arrival of the striker, a priority for the Gones in recent weeks, is confirmed after days of speculation. In a statement, the French club expressed its satisfaction with the deal: "Olympique Lyonnais, who had made a number 9 their priority, is very happy to be able to count on Loïs this season, thus confirming their desire to be competitive as quickly as possible, especially with the Champions League 3rd qualifying round already next week, against Sparta Prague."

Openda arrives in France after a disappointing season in Turin, where he scored only two goals in 34 appearances. The Old Lady, who preferred a permanent sale, will cover a portion of the player's salary, which is around three million net euros per year.

It's worth noting that before his stint in Italy, the Belgian forward, who boasts 33 caps and three goals for his country, had successful spells at Lens, with 21 goals in 42 games, and at RB Leipzig, where he netted 33 goals in 69 Bundesliga matches.
