Nacional announced on Sunday the signing of Markus Jensen. The 21-year-old Danish winger has penned a four-year deal, committing his future to the Madeiran club until the summer of 2029.
A Denmark youth international, Markus Jensen arrives at Choupana following a season on loan at Utrecht B from Odense, the club where he developed through their academy and made his senior debut. Last season, in the Dutch second division, he registered two goals and three assists across 30 appearances.
With the transfer now complete, the young attacker – who can also operate as an attacking midfielder – immediately joined João Gião's squad. He is currently participating in the pre-season training camp in Lousada, preparing for the new campaign alongside his teammates.
Jensen becomes the seventh reinforcement for the black and whites for the 2026/27 season, joining Stavros Gavriel, Mateus Iseppe, Renato Marin, João Gonçalves, Danel Dongmo, and Daniel De la Cruz.
