Official Market: Benfica Confirms Gabriel Índio Until 2031

Benfica confirmed on Tuesday that Gabriel Índio has signed a contract valid until June 2031, just two days after the center-back celebrated his 18th birthday.

The Brazilian defender, who arrived at the Estádio da Luz this summer from Atlético Mineiro, had already been announced as a new signing for the upcoming season. However, he was not yet eligible to play for Marco Silva's squad as he had not reached legal age.

Now that he has turned 18, Índio can officially be utilized by the coach, at a time when the Eagles' defensive sector continues to undergo adjustments.
