Esteban Ocon took to social media to state that his upcoming departure from Haas at the end of the year does not mark the end of his Formula 1 career.

Earlier in the day, Haas announced that Ocon will not be staying with the team, with the Frenchman's next move still uncertain. While securing an immediate race seat in Formula 1 appears unlikely, Ocon is determined to return to the grid. It is not unfamiliar territory for him, having served as a reserve driver for Mercedes in 2019 before earning his way back to a full-time seat with Renault for the 2020 campaign.

"My time with the Haas team will come to an end at the close of the 2026 season. I leave this project with my head held high, proud of my performances under conditions that weren't always the easiest due to various reasons outside of my control. "My focus right now is on the upcoming race weekend. I will continue to work hard with the team, maximize every opportunity, and extract every bit of potential from the car. There are still many races left this season and, as always, I will be fully committed behind the wheel for myself and the team. "I am still motivated. I am still hungry. This is absolutely not the end of my Formula 1 career," wrote the French driver.
