Injured Nigerian international defender Godfrey Oboabona may actually make the match against Bosnia if the latest move by the technical crew to get him fit against Saturday turns out a success.
Oboabona, 23, injured his right knee when he landed clumsily after a ball challenge with a Iranian and was ruled out of the game against the Bosnians but, as at today, the report from the camp is that the Rizespor of Turkey defender will undergo an Ice Treatment to cure the wounded knee.
Confirming the claim that the player will be fit for Bosnia on Saturday June 21, Valere Houandinou, a backroom staff of the chief coach Steven Keshi said the player will be ok after the treatment.
“Oboabona foot was swollen and he was feeling some pain. After he had ice treatment and now the pain has eased.
“He will train and should be able to play on Saturday,'' Togolese Valere claimed.
Nigeria's defence was sloppy against a weak Iran attack and the defensive partnership of Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo will count for the Eagles when they take on the forceful attack of the Bosnian team on June 21.
