Nottingham Forest secured their first victory of the season, triumphing 2-1 away at Aston Villa. The winning goal came just two minutes before the end of regular time, courtesy of Igor Jesus. This marks Forest's first win at Villa Park in 32 years. Meanwhile, the Birmingham side remains in the relegation zone, having collected only one point from their opening four matches.

Oliver Glasner's team took the lead early in the second half when summer signing Liam Delap opened the scoring, netting his first goal since January. Home substitute Alisson equalized in the 74th minute, but the visitors, who had dominated much of the game, ultimately clinched the victory.

Aston Villa delivered another disappointing performance, despite an early chance from a deflected Victor Lindelöf shot. Record signing Nicolas Jackson was substituted at halftime as Unai Emery made a double change, but even this failed to turn the tide.
