Despite being the fastest driver on the new Madring circuit, world champion Lando Norris could only manage a third-place finish at the Spanish Grand Prix.

"The virtual safety car was deployed right after I passed the pit lane entry, so there was nothing I could do," Norris commented. "Congratulations to Kimi and Max; they drove a strong race today."
"Luck simply wasn't on our side today. I had a good fight and tried to catch Max, but overtaking here is tough, and he didn't make a single mistake."
"It was a difficult race that slipped away from us. I believe we deserved to win today, but sometimes that's just how it goes in racing. We accept this result and will aim for victory in the next race."
"It's hard for me to say if we'll be fighting for wins again. It doesn't come easily. I know I'm working hard and getting a lot out of the car. Yesterday, I drove a phenomenal lap to secure pole position. Today, I think I had a perfect race, but luck wasn't with me."

"The team is doing an excellent job; we're working diligently. We'll continue this way to put pressure on the leaders. That's the only path: a lot of hard work and perseverance."
